About Ali Sayed
Ali Sayed, a Dearborn native, is running for Dearborn City Council. This decision, although made responsibly and thoughtfully, seemed simple enough. Ali was born on January 2, 1981 in Dearborn, the city he has called home since. Raised among eight siblings by two loving parents, Ali came from humble beginnings. His father was a factory worker while his mother raised and cared for the family. Ali was raised to cherish family, work hard in school, and display core values at all times. At age seven, while delivering news papers with his eldest brother, Ali began to understand the concept of work and success. At such an early time in his life, goals began to be set and ethics established.
A 1999 graduate of Dearborn High School, Ali ventured into an entrepreneurial career early in life. As a small business owner, Ali he learned that he had a knack for business, an eye for opportunity, and respect for work ethic. Fortunately, with hard work came success! Pairing experience with confidence, Ali began planning for bigger dreams, one of which was a vehicle to do what he loved while serving his community. Being an avid sports lover and a devoted citizen, Ali found a rewarding balance through the establishment of HYPE Athletics. Since 2001, HYPE has given Dearborn youth the opportunity to excel in various sports, acquire discipline and work within a team environemnt in a fun and safe atmosphere. In response to high demand, HYPE has expanded to include numerous sports for more age groups, in a number of cities outside of Dearborn. Ali's spiritual growth, as well as his commitment to his community and his loved ones has helped him guide today's youth to understand right from wrong and the importance of family and community.
It is obvious where Ali Sayed's loyalties are. His devotion to the city he has called home since birth is evident in his character, actions and interactions. Devotion, however, is not enough. A plan for action needs to be put in place. Ali Sayed's plan includes offering a voice for the future generation. Ali's passion to provide positive and lasting experiences for our youth, his many partnerships and collaborations, along with his transparent approach is what this city needs. Young. Educated. Imaginative. Goal-oriented. Energetic. Ali encompasses these qualities and more. Ali plans to bring support and representation to the great families of Dearborn. He will strive to move the city forward and prepare us for the 21st century. His creative approach to attract new businesses will further beautify the wonderful city we call home. This change is needed! Accountable. Responsible. Creditable. His belief in a common practice stands strong in his heart; Partner or Perish. He plans to stress this within all areas of the work he plans to bring to the city.
